ADULT SMALL GROUP MINISTRIES

 

PRECEPT UPON PRECEPT BIBLE STUDY

  1. •Inductive study of God’s Word  (5 hours of homework per week)

  2. •Group discussion over completed homework (1 hour)

  3. •Video lecture over passage discussed (45 minutes)

  4. •Less time for prayer, personal sharing and outreach.

  5. •Men & Women meet on Monday nights at 7pm. Women only meet Thursday mornings at 9:30am.



HOME BIBLE STUDIES

  1. •Bible study discussion from homework completed.

  2. •Sharing: safe place to share & receive support.

  3. •Outreach focus: as individuals and as a group.

  4. •Prayer: especially for one another.

  5. •Group make-up: couples & singles; committed group.

  6. •Meet weekly September thru May (with a summer get together)



DINNERS FOR SIX

  1. •Short term groups for making new friends.

  2. •Six people together for three meals over 3-4 months.

  3. •Coordinator puts groups of six together from signups.

  4. •Groups will include couples and singles.

  5. •Rotate host homes. Host - main dish. Others - rest of meal.

  6. •First round: September thru December.

  7. •New groups formed from signups January thru April.



FRIENDSHIP GROUPS

  1. •Home groups where new people are constantly invited.

  2. •Brief Bible discussion lessons - no homework.

  3. •Relationship building, sharing and prayer.

  4. •When the group grows too big, divide and keep inviting new members couples and singles.
